before installation

check every piece in daylight before fitting. natural rock varies in color, veining and texture from piece to piece — this variation is part of the material’s character.

seal before grouting

for travertine, apply the appropriate sealer before grouting, then seal again after the grout has cured. use a flexible grout in a tone close to the tile, or choose a contrast to frame each piece.

everyday care

dust and sweep regularly, wipe spills promptly and use a gentle, pH-neutral cleaner. avoid abrasive pads and acidic cleaners on natural stone.
