On the 25th and 28th of November 2020 International Day Seminar for the Elimination of Violence Against Women:

Under the patronage of the President of the Kuwaiti Women's Associations Union and the Chairperson of the Kuwait Voluntary Women's Association for Community Service and Development, Sheikha Fadia Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, the association organized a virtual awareness seminar titled "International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women." The seminar featured the participation of various experts in psychological, educational, and legal aspects. The seminar was live-streamed on the association's YouTube and Instagram platforms from 7:00 to 8:00 PM Kuwait time on both days.

Sheikha Fadia Al-Saad emphasized that this seminar is part of the association's educational and awareness programs and is aligned with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The aim was to fulfill the association's responsibility and goals by sending messages to raise awareness about negative phenomena, urging the rejection of all forms of violence, and creating a safe environment for women.

Sheikha Fadia highlighted the association's commitment to continuing to broadcast such impactful educational programs that concern women on various occasions, with the purpose of raising awareness, promoting community engagement, and supporting activities that align with UN decisions for women's empowerment and capacity-building.

The seminar coordinator and speaker, Dr. Laila Al-Khayyat, a professor of education at Kuwait University and a member of the Kuwait Voluntary Women's Association, explained that the seminar, inaugurated by Sheikha Fadia Al-Saad, covers several topics. It starts by shedding light on the educational impact of violence against women on society, presented by Dr. Laila Al-Khayyat herself. Additionally, the psychological and social effects of violence against women will be discussed by psychiatrist Dr. Khaled Al-Saleh. Psychological guidance and advice for victims will be offered by psychological specialist Ahmed Al-Mulla. Furthermore, legal guidance and advice for victims will be provided by lawyer Alaa Al-Saadi. The literary and psychological guidance for victims will be presented by the writer Saad Al-Rifai.

Dr. Al-Khayyat affirmed that the seminar will provide an opportunity for written questions and interactions through online chat during the live broadcast. A report on the seminar's topics and interactions will be compiled and shared with everyone, and the seminar will be recorded in audio and video formats for knowledge dissemination and awareness enhancement.

Dr. Al-Khayyat also highlighted the continuous communication with the participants, providing consultations from the speakers, coordinators, initiators, and volunteers. Membership in the Voluntary Association in the Arab Network for Communication and Public Relations:
