Kuwait Minister of Public Works Authority Visit’s the Plant
- 10 January, 2024
Successful start-up of the new plant in um Al Hayman: the plant implemented by hashtag#WTE in um Al Hayman, Kuwait, has been successfully commissioned. In a first phase, wastewater sub-quantities of approx. 15,000 m³/d are currently being treated by the A20 pumping station and an additional approx. 6,000 m³/d via the reception of the tanker discharge station. The amount of wastewater will soon increase further due to the acceptance of additional wastewater from the southern catchment area (Sabah Al-Ahmed).
The wastewater is treated conventionally, including treatment by cloth filtration, UV disinfection and chlorination. Some of the treated TSE water will be fed into the existing TSE network, while the rest will be discharged into the Persian Gulf via the ESO (emergency sea outfall) in compliance with strict effluent values.
In the future, the treated TSE water will be temporarily stored in reservoirs and then ready for further distribution to our end customers.
In the course of achieving this important milestone, our laboratory staff have also moved into their new workspaces in the completed laboratory on the facility. They are therefore the first to use their workstations in the administration building.
Thanks to the dedicated efforts of our highly motivated team in Kuwait, all challenges were successfully overcome during the start of commissioning.
We would like to thank everyone involved for their commitment and tenacity in this process!
