The association was established immediately after liberation by Sheikha Latifa Al-Fahd Al-Salem Al-Sabah under Ministerial Decree No. 1056 of 1991, in recognition of her pioneering efforts in volunteer work. Its headquarters are located in Kuwait, and today it is led by Her Highness Sheikha Fadia Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah."
The Kuwaiti Women's Association aspires to serve women in the community, develop their skills and capabilities, through a variety of programs, meetings, and activities it organizes. The association also participates in supporting women's roles within the society in coordination with official bodies and specialized institutions, striving to achieve its goals."
The Kuwaiti Voluntary Women's Association for Community Service and Development was established and registered under the decision of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor on August 18, 1991. Its headquarters is in Kuwait City, and it is allowed to open new branches in Kuwait after obtaining approval from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor."
The association works towards achieving its objectives in coordination with official bodies and specialized institutions for the following purposes:
To be a member of the association, one must be of Kuwaiti nationality, not less than eighteen years old, and non-Kuwaitis who the Board of Directors unanimously agrees to include."
