The Umm Al Hayman for Wastewater Treatment Company K.S.P.C. (the “Company”) is a Kuwaiti Shareholding Public Company incorporated under the provisions of Law No. 116 of 2014 regarding Public Private Partnership (PPP) and its executive regulations. The Company was incorporated on 27th November 2019, and its commercial license was registered at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on 26th December 2019 (date of inception) having commercial registration number 405432.

We are thrilled to have received Project Award of the Year 2024 and Water Treatment Project of the Year – a testament to our dedication to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in infrastructure development.
As Kuwait’s first Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project under Law 116-2014, our journey represents a pivotal milestone in the nation’s drive for sustainable growth. The Umm Al Hayman Wastewater Treatment Plant is not only one of the largest in the region but also a key player in supporting Kuwait's water security, environmental sustainability, and resource conservation efforts.
These awards celebrate the collaborative efforts of our team, stakeholders, and key partners, including WTE Wassertechnik GmbH, IFA Group, the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA), the Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects (KAPP), and the Ministry of Public Works. We are proud to announce that the Umm Al Hayman Wastewater Treatment project has been honored with the "ESG Project of the Year" award at The Energy Year Kuwait 2024. This award underscores our commitment to advancing environmental sustainability and responsible governance within the infrastructure and utility sectors. The award was received on behalf of the company by Hassan Choudhry, Mohammad Al Sabah, and Abdulwahab Al Roumi, followed by an acceptance speech acknowledging the dedication and collaboration of our teams and partners.
Our major project Umm Al Hayman has once again been honoured at the prestigious AsianWaterAwards 2024, won first place in two categories with its project:
According to Asian Water Awards, our Umm Al Hayman Wastewater Treatment Plant has ‘set new benchmarks in sustainability, water recycling and environmental protection’. The philosophy of ‘closing the water cycle’ was particularly praised, which is of crucial importance in a country like Kuwait, which receives minimal rainfall.
Thanks to state-of-the-art processes, the plant is capable of treating wastewater to a standard where it becomes a valuable resource, ready to be reused for agricultural irrigation and industrial applications
