A cultural and social magazine that focuses on everything related to Kuwaiti and Arab women's affairs, showcasing their achievements and activities. It covers various local and international news, events, and occasions. It also engages in investigative articles discussing women's issues across different social, cultural, scientific, and economic domains.
Women play a pivotal role in social, political, and cultural life, facing numerous challenges. This is where the role of media comes in, to enhance their reality, highlight their key issues, and address problems and solutions to combat cultural and societal obstacles hindering their progress. To elevate their status and achieve this goal, the concept of establishing the "Kuwaiti Women Magazine" emerged in 1991 as part of the initiatives of the Kuwaiti Voluntary Women's Association for Service and Community Development. This initiative was guided by the pioneering efforts of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa Al-Fahd Al-Salem Al-Sabah, who is a leader in women's voluntary work. The magazine was initially published in print, and in 2019, it was reissued in a new format as a monthly publication. Its website also provides daily updated news across a diverse range of topics.
The magazine's objectives include enriching the culture of Arab women, improving their image in Arab society, sparking dialogue and discussion on their issues through conferences and specialized gatherings, presenting investigative journalism focused on phenomena related to women that impact them either positively or negatively within society. The magazine also aims to adopt appropriate solutions that befit her social standing on both the Arab and global levels.
Furthermore, the magazine offers an enlightening developmental perspective on Arab women's issues, shedding light on subjects that media often overlook in relation to women's matters.
Hence, the objectives of establishing the magazine have been defined, with the specific choice of Kuwaiti women, as they best represent women's issues and possess the capability to find solutions for these matters. Moreover, they serve as ambassadors for women on both local and international platforms.
